Venue: The Emirates Stadium

Referee: Michael Oliver

Arsenal will look to get their league campaign back on track when they will host Wolves at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday night.

Mikel Arteta’s men have won just one of their last five league games and have not scored a goal from open play in over seven hours of Premier League football.

Their form has seen the Gunners slip to 12th in the league table and they are in need of some inspiration in order to get back on their feet in the league soon.

They are coming up against a Wolves side who are also struggling for consistency. They have won four, lost three and drawn two of their first nine games, winning back-to-back only once.

However, their defensive record should worry an Arsenal side who have struggled to score goals.

Only Tottenham have conceded fewer goals in the Premier League this season than Wolves, who have let in just ten times in their opening nine games.

Arsenal vs Wolves: Head-to-Head

Total games – 116

Arsenal wins – 58

Wolves wins – 30

Draws – 28

Arsenal have a superior record over Wolves since the two sides first met in 1904 in a League Division One game.

The Gunners beat them away from home in their last meeting in July but Wolves managed to earn a point from their trip to the Emirates last season. In fact, they have not lost on their last three trips to the Emirates, with all the games finishing in 1-1 draws.

Arsenal vs Wolves: Recent form

Arsenal form: W-D-L-W-W

Wolves form: D-L-W-D-W

Arsenal beat Molde 3-0 in the Europa League on Thursday night and will come into the game with some confidence.

But their league form has been dismal and their inability to score enough goals has haunted them this season.

They have just one win in their last league games and have not scored from open play for over seven hours in the Premier League.

Wolves have been inconsistent in the league this season but have the second-best defensive record in the league.

They have won two of their last five and played out a 1-1 draw against an in-form Southampton side last time around.

Arsenal vs Wolves Prediction

Arsenal and Wolves have similar records at the start of the season in the Premier League, even scoring and conceding the same number of goals in their first nine matches.

Wolves played out 1-1 draws in their last three visits to the Emirates and we can see a similar result on Sunday night as well.
