The Blues are in Landover – just outside of the United States’ capital city Washington, DC – to take on west London rivals Fulham in the final match of their Premier League Summer Series campaign. Thus far, Chelsea have beaten Brighton and drawn with Newcastle United.
Mauricio Pochettino has enjoyed a bright start to life as head coach of the Blues and the Argentine is certainly causing a lot of optimism around the club’s fan base. Pochettino has used a wide variety of players in pre-season so far, with the majority of them being really young talents.
Tonight, however, may see Pochettino field a side that is closer to what he thinks is going to be the team he uses against Liverpool in their Premier League opener in two weeks’ time. After this, it’s just Borussia Dortmund to go before Chelsea begin their Premier League season.
