CHE 2-1 PLY: 2 Chelsea Key Players That Perform Excellently In The Blues FA Cup Win

Chelsea returned to action on Saturday afternoon. The Blues faced Plymouth in the fourth round of the FA Cup. Plymouth almost caused an upset as they fought Chelsea for 120 minutes.

Plymouth scored the first goal of the game through a header in the 8th minute. Chelsea however equalised through Azpilicueta before half time. The game ended 1-1 in full time which took the game to extra time. However, Chelsea left-back Marcos Alonso scored the winning goal from Kai Havertz assist. Chelsea had difficulty in breaking Plymouth’s defense. However, here are two players who did very well in the game.

1) Ceaser Azpilicueta: The Chelsea Captain scored a brilliant backheel to equalize for Chelsea. Apart from that, he was a constant threat throughout the game. Azpilicueta had 6 shots against Plymouth, this is one fewer than he has managed in his last 17 premier league games (7). Azpilicueta has now scored at least one goal for Chelsea in the last 7 seasons.

2) Kepa Arrizabalaga : The Chelsea star continues to help Chelsea with his penalty saves. Plymouth was awarded a penalty kick few minutes to the end of the extra time. The goalkeeper once again guessed right and saved the penalty. He was at alert throughout the game.
