Chelsea boss Pochettino speaks on Nkunku returns

Chelsea’s manager has given a hint on the possible return date for injured Chelsea forward Christopher Nkunku. The France attacker signed for Chelsea in the summer from RB Leipzig but is yet to feature for the Blues this season after sustaining a knee injury in pre-season.

While speaking in a presser ahead of the Blues’ Premier League clash with Brentford, the Argentine manager made it known that the 25-year-old is really close to returning to full first-team activities. In his words – “Christopher Nkunku is working really well now and he’s really close“.

He also went mentioned that the France international may play for the Blues after the international break as the team is looking forward to his return and contributions in attack.

As per the FIFA calendar, the next international break which will be the last international break of 2023 is scheduled to hold from November 13 -21. This means that Nkunku might be on the team list when Chelsea plays Newcastle United on November 25 in the Premier League.

Chelsea have really struggled in front of goal this term, and having a player like Nkunku in the team will be a huge boost to their season.
