Chelsea fans already welcoming Christopher Nkunku to Stamford Bridge

Chelsea are guaranteed to finish outside the top four in the Premier League this season, and they are not even sure of safety as they still have to face tough teams like Manchester United and Man City both away from home.

Surely, a team in this kind of mess isn’t one any elite player would love to join.

Fortunately for Chelsea, they have already secured the signing of highly-rated French attacker Christopher Nkunku who wouldn’t be happy seeing the current state of his next club.

Before giving the greenlight to a summer transfer to Chelsea, the RB Leipzig star was courted by some of Europe’s big teams, but The Blues eventually stole the march on their rivals to land Nkunku.

Had the former PSG ace waited until this summer to make a decision on his future, he probably wouldn’t fancy the idea of joining a side like Chelsea that will need a massive rebuild before they can start challenging for major honors.

With Manchester United, Bayern Munich and even Real Madrid previously credited with an interest in Nkunku, the player would have easily picked any of these clubs as his next destination. But instead, he will be moving to Stamford Bridge where he won’t be featuring in the Champions League for the foreseeable future.
