Chelsea fans unhappy with 2-2 draw with Arsenal

Chelsea fans are looking back on two points dropped in immensely frustrating circumstances.

The Blues were 2-0 up and cruising when Robert Sanchez gave the ball away needlessly and let the Gunners back into the game. They soon scored a second, and supporters were immediately looking for things to blame.

It’s too easy to just say that it’s all Sanchez’s fault – people want something better to blame than that.

One thing they’ve settled on was the subs made by Mauricio Pochettino. After 64 minutes, Nicolas Jackson was brought on for Mykhailo Mudryk. Raheem Sterling came off for Noni Madueke in the 84th minute, when Reece James was also changed brought on for Cole Palmer. A lot of supporters felt that we lost our attacking threat as our original trident came off.

We’re inclined to agree they didn’t help – but ultimately, you can’t avoid the fact that we were cruising to victory until an individual error changed everything. Nobody was questioning the subs before that.
