The agent of West Ham United star Mohammed Kudus has admitted that her client had a deal agreed for him to join Chelsea this summer.
However, Jennifer Mendelewitsch has claimed to RMC Sports that the Blues did not stump up a good enough offer to Ajax for them to accept a bid for his services from West London.
Kudus is beginning to find his feet across the capital at West Ham after they signed him relatively late in the transfer window.

However, it now seems like there was a genuine possibility he could have been playing his football in Blue this season.
He was certainly a long-term target of Chelsea, as a number of big sides kept tabs on the player sure to leave the Dutch league this summer.
However, Mendelewitsch has now claimed the Blues’ focus on signing Moises Caicedo made their interest in her client not possible to move.
Chelsea had deal agreed for Kudus
She said: “We reached an agreement with Chelsea, we agreed the contract with Chelsea but the deal was not done. He talked with the coach but in the end it didn’t happen because Chelsea made a ridiculous offer to Ajax.

“The truth is that they were completely focused on the transfer of (Moises) Caicedo which took up all their energy. There was no counter offer.
“Chelsea did this with lots of players this summer, making very low offers to clubs knowing that they would not be accepted.”
Chelsea strengthened their attacking midfield role late in the window with the addition of Cole Palmer from Manchester City.
The deadline day signing has contributed to a goal in all three of his starts for his new club, and has become a very important player very quickly at Stamford Bridge.
So much so, Chelsea fans are sweating on his fitness for this weekend’s Premier League game against Arsenal after an injury picked up during the international break.
