Chelsea handed Joao Felix £100m transfer advantage
football.london reported earlier this year that Felix was a transfer target for the Gunners, but a move failed to materialise with Gabriel Jesus completing a £45million move to the Emirates Stadium in the summer instead.
Atletico CEO, Gil Martin, has admitted that the club will consider selling the 23-year-old after he told TVE: “Joao Felix is the biggest bet the club has made this season, I think he has the highest level in the world but for reasons that are not worth entering now, the relationship between [Diego] Simeone and him is not good and his motivation is not the best.”
According to GOAL reporter Ruben Uria, Atletico Madrid would prefer to sell Felix to a Premier League club due to their financial ability to meet their £100million asking price. Chelsea and Arsenal are both expected to be able to meet the Portuguese forward’s wage demands should he leave Spain.
Manchester United and Aston Villa are also interested in signing Felix from Atletico, along with European giants Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain.
AC Milan ‘ready’ to submit transfer offer for Chelsea star
According to La Gazzetta Dello Sport, Milan are ready to make an opening bid to sign Ziyech from Chelsea on-loan with an option to buy for €15million (£13million). The Rossoneri are long-time admirers of the Morocco international who has been shining in Qatar with his national team.
The report adds that Milan will make a new attempt to sign the Chelsea winger in January. The Italian outfit plan to get Ziyech on-loan with an option to buy which could see the winger leave the Blues after just three years.
Raheem Sterling set to return to England World Cup camp
Chelsea’s Raheem Sterling is set to return to England’s World Cup camp in Qatar ahead of the quarter-final clash against France. The 28-year-old temporarily left to fly home and will now rejoin the squad in Al Wakrah on Friday, December 9.
A spokesperson for the England footballer said he left the Three Lions’ camp to “prioritise the wellbeing” of his three young children. Surrey Police are continuing their investigation into the burglary incident as Sterling now prepares to fly back to Qatar.
