Chelsea holding out on transfer deal for just £2.6million seems very daft

Chelsea are still holding out on selling one player who wants to leave the club this summer, seemingly for just a small amount of £2.6million.

The Blues have been open to selling almost every player in their squad this summer as they look to rebuild under Mauricio Pochettino and push forwards.

But it looks like for one player that they want to sell, they are rejecting offers for the sake of the odd million or two. For the average person that is a heck of a lot of money, but in professional football deals, it is merely just peanuts.

According to The Guardian, Chelsea want AC Milan to raise their offer for Christian Pulisic after the Italian side made a second bid worth up to £18.9m for the American winger.

Milan have had a bid of £12m rejected for Pulisic before their second offer, and negotiations between the clubs are ongoing. They claim that Lyon’s bid of £21.5m comes closer to meeting Chelsea’s valuation, which is a difference of just £2.6m.

Seems hugely daft to me, and they should just get it done.
