The World Cup final is this weekend, meaning it won’t be long before we’re back thinking about club football again. For Chelsea fans, that might not be a good thing.
When we left off, the Blues were racked by injury and spiralling down the table. We can’t promise that the second part will have changed when we face Bournemouth on the 27th of this month, but we can at least promise you that our injury problems will have lessended.
Nizaar Kinsella’s article today claims that Chelsea “hope” to have both Reece James and Wesley Fofana back from injury for that game. That’s a huge boost, and even though it’s followed by the news that the rest of our injured group will take longer to return, we will happily take just those two for now.
Our defence is the priority to fix – and let’s not forget how much of our attacking threat is also based around Reece James.
