Real Madrid’s interest in signing Kai Havertz seems to be growing stronger by the day, according to Relevo – a reliable source.
It is said that Havertz fits the profile of a forward Real Madrid are looking for and would be ideal to reinforce the squad in attack for next season.
Real Madrid remains keen on signing Havertz even if Karim Benzema doesn’t leave the club. On Thursday, the Frenchman hinted at continuing his 11-year career at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Real Madrid are said to be close to agreeing on a deal to bring Joselu on loan from Espanyol. Even then, Havertz’ arrival could still happen as Marco Asensio and Mariano Diaz are set to leave.
The 23-year-old Chelsea attacker scored just seven goals in 35 league games this season, but he also finished as the club’s top scorer given their horrendous campaign.
Havertz could end up costing Real Madrid around €60m – that’s his price tag on Transfermarkt website.
