Chelsea lineup against Tottenham Hotspur in today's premier league game

Chelsea will clash with London rivals Tottenham today in search of a much-needed Premier League win after going four games in all competitions without a victory.
The Blues’ winless streak stretched to five games with a 1-0 loss at Southampton last time out.

Graham Potter has seen pressure increase on his job in west London after a barren spell in 2023 where the Blues have scored just four goals, resulting in one victory.

N’Golo Kante is now back in team training as he steps up his recovery from thigh surgery, but the Frenchman is still a week or two away from being considered for selection.

Cesar Azpilicueta suffered a nasty head injury in Chelsea’s last game and had to be hospitalized. The Spaniard has since been discharged from the hospital but will miss out here owing to concussion protocol, joining Armando Broja, Christian Pulisic and Edouard Mendy on the Blues’ absentee list.

Enzo Fernandez and Mateo Kovacic should therefore feel confident of holding their spots in midfield, but changes should be in the offing at the back, where the fit-again pair of Thiago Silva and Reece James are both primed to return.

James will be a straight swap for Azpilicueta, while Silva could eject Kalidou Koulibaly, who only lasted until halftime against Southampton. Kepa Arrizabalaga, Benoit Badiashile, and Ben Chilwell all ought to continue in their roles.

Potter was advised by medical staff not to use Raheem Sterling or Mykhailo Mudryk from the first whistle last time out, but the pair are expected to be in contention for starts over Noni Madueke and Mason Mount here.

Joao Felix can expect to continue in between the two wide men, while David Datro Fofana’s brief time up top should come to an end as Kai Havertz leads the charge.

Chelsea possible starting lineup: Kepa; James, Silva, Badiashile, Chilwell; Kovacic, Fernandez; Mudryk, Felix, Sterling; Havertz
