Brighton are open to offers for Yves Bissouma, opening the door for Chelsea to try and get a deal done
Thomas Tuchel has made it clear that he wants to strengthen his midfield options before the end of the January transfer window in order to keep the good start to the new season going.
Tuchel has seen a number of players go down with Covid, pick up injuries and just put in some poor performances, leading to suggestions that he wanted to add something different to his squad this month.
And with just a few days left in the transfer window for Chelsea to actually get some transfer business done, they have been handed a massive boost in their quest to possibly sign Bissouma from Brighton
The Mali international has 18 months left on his contract and has attracted attention from Arsenal, Manchester United, Liverpool and Tottenham with his impressive performances over the past few seasons
Brighton cannot afford to lose such a huge player for nothing and reports in the Times has claimed that Brighton are open to the idea of letting him leave this transfer window, or at the end of the season
However, The Times report that the Seagulls are demanding £50m for his services.
There are other areas of the pitch that Chelsea need to worry about right now, not another midfielder. But saying that, Bissouma is certainly a player that would add to this Chelsea squad.
He has proven that he is able to play at a very high level and if he was able to join a club like Chelsea and progress to that next level, he would be a real great signing for Tuchel
