Todd Boehly set to take over Chelsea after winning bid race, and fix players contract extension

Chelsea are reportedly prepared to increase their offer for Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo to approximately £80 million ($101m). The Ecuador international was previously linked with Chelsea during the January transfer window, but ultimately signed a new contract with Brighton.

A £60 million ($76m) bid from Stamford Bridge for Caicedo’s services was rejected. Chelsea is expected to have significant funds available for transfers, with an estimated £200 million ($253m) set to be generated from player sales, including the potential departures of Kalidou Koulibaly, Kai Havertz, and Mason Mount. It is believed that a portion of these funds will be allocated towards securing the signing of Caicedo.

The 21-year-old Moises Caicedo has impressed in the Premier League last season and still has untapped potential. Arsenal had shown interest, but they are finalizing a record-breaking move for Declan Rice. Chelsea, having lost several midfielders, are also keeping an eye on Lavia, Onana, and Veiga.
