Chelsea resume negotiations

Chelsea have renewed their interest in Everton midfielder Amadou Onana, according to reports. The Blues explored a potential deal in January as they sought to add a defensive minded body to their squad but never reached an agreement.

The player only joined the Toffees last summer but impressed in the heart of the midfield under both Frank Lampard and Sean Dyche. At 21, he is now said to be seen as an outside option for the position.

Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri now says that talks have since resumed and that there is a strong interest in the player from Chelsea’s side as they once more seek to add depth and quality in the centre of the pitch.

Caicedo boost

Chelsea have been dealt a massive boost in their attempts to sign Moises Caicedo this summer. The player is a priority now for Mauricio Pochettino, football.london understands, and is no longer likely to be pursued by Arsenal.

It is said that the Gunners have dropped their interest in the 21-year-old as they favour a move for Declan Rice. Meanwhile, Chelsea are now tasked with negotiating a deal for Caicedo.

Whilst the Telegraph write that agreeing personal terms will not be an issue, the value Brighton put on him may well be. With a reported £120million asking price, there is some distance between the teams.

“Chelsea have decided to submit official proposal for Moisés Caicedo next week. Direct talks will take place with Brighton in order to get it done.

The agreement on personal terms is at very advanced stages since yesterday, almost done.”

Osimhen decision

Napoli star Victor Osimhen will not sign a new deal with the Italian champions, reports suggest. The player has a little over 18 months left on his current contract.

Having helped lead Napoli to the Serie A title he is one of the most in-demand strikers in the world and is set to field massive bids this summer. Chelsea, football.london understand, are considering an offer which could break the league record once more.

Now, with manager Luciano Spalletti leaving despite the success of the team, Osimhen is said to be refusing a new deal as Paris Saint-Germain make their interest in the player known.
