Chelsea set to break bank for €75m world-class Bundesliga centre-back

Chelsea could push to sign Josko Gvardiol as early as January and get ahead of the queue forming for the defender. The £45m-rated Real Madrid target is attracting tremendous interest after an impressive World Cup campaign. Gvardiol is in demand after tremendous displays for Croatia at the World Cup.
Josko was one of the top footballers in the competition, which has only resulted in increased interest in the defender. RB Leipzig are bracing for big offers, although they may not want to sell Croatia international in winter. Real Madrid is one of the main contenders for the £45m-rated target, with giant eyeballs from PL sides.
The London giants are among the chief suitors for the 20-year-old centre-back, who stay desperate to wrap up a deal for the defender. The Blues has adapted to a new strategy to tempt players and their respective teams by making early offers and paying premium prices.
They adopted a similar style in pursuing the Croatian defender’s Leipzig teammate Nkunku and reportedly agreed to a deal by paying more than his release clause. They may look to wrap up a similar deal for the Croatian, and they reportedly want him in winter rather than summer.
Josko joined RB Leipzig in a £15m deal in 2021 and has since seen his value triple to nearly £45m. As things stand, no clubs have an agreement with RB Leipzig, although the Bundesliga side will be bracing for huge offers to arrive.
