Chelsea star Santos captains Brazil to win South American U20 Championship after a 2-0 win in final

Chelsea football club star Andrey Santos was the hero for Brazil Under 20 National team on Monday morning, as he captained them to a remarkable 2-0 victory over Uruguay Under 20 National team in the final of the South American Under 20 Championship.

 

The 18-year-old joined Chelsea football club from Vasco football club of Brazil in the January transfer window and he has not been able to represent the Blues due to national team’s commitment.

Andrey Santos was given the captain hand band by his coach before the start of the tournament, and he was able to help them to lift the trophy.

Brazil Under 20 National team started the tournament on a high note, and they were able to secure a convincing victory against their opponent in the final.

After playing out a goalless draw in the first half of the game, Andrey Santos broke the deadlock for Brazil in the 85th minute and Pedro Henrique Silva dos Santos doubled the lead in the 90th minute to end the match 2-0.

Andrey Santos captained Brazil Under 20 National team to victory with a stunning late goal, and he also broke the record for most goals for Brazil at the U-20 South American Championship from midfielder, after scoring six goals.

The victory over Uruguay Under 20 National team has now helped Brazil Under 20 National team to lift this year’s edition of South American Under 20 Championship.
