Chelsea are set to announce Christopher Vivell as the club’s new technical director this week, according to Florian Plettenberg of Sky Sports.
Vivell left RB Leipzig back in October and has been linked with a role in Chelsea since then.
According to Plettenberg, Vivell has signed a contract with Chelsea and his visa has been done ahead of his arrival at Stamford Bridge.
Plettenberg tweeted: “If everything goes right the deal could be announced this week! Contracts signed & visa done as reported. He should start as Chelseas new Technical Director in December. New leadership at Chelsea in progress, new transfer strategy the next windows.”
Meanwhile, Chelsea boss Graham Potter has urged the club to sign Barcelona winger and France international Ousmane Dembele, according to media outlet Sport.fr.
Chelsea face competition for the 25 year old winger from French giants Paris Saint-Germain.
Dembele, who was part of the France World Cup squad, currently has around 18 months left on his Barcelona contract and earns £199,000-a-week.
