Mendy sends warning message to Mane ahead of FA Cup final at Wembley

According to reports, Chelsea made a six-year contract offer to Senegal goalkeeper Edouard Mendy, but the goalie turned it down. His future at Stamford Bridge is now in jeopardy.

Following Graham Potter’s promotion to the top position and his preference for Kepa Arrizabalaga as the starting goalkeeper, Mendy has slid down the pecking order in the Chelsea camp.

The Sun reported that Mendy, who earns £100,000 per week at the Bridge, wants to be paid on par with Kepa, another goalkeeper, whose pay is reportedly almost twice as much.

According to the report, Chelsea’s camp has ended further discussions with Mendy and his team as the club considers exploring alternative transfer options with the January transfer window still a few days away.

Emi Martinez, a goalkeeper for Aston Villa, has been suggested as one of the goalkeepers Chelsea should target this season after his heroics with the World Cup victors Argentina.
