Frank Lampard sends message to Todd Boehly to choose his assistant

Chelsea interim manager Frank Lampard has been urged to appoint someone experienced as his assistant.

This is according to Arsenal legend Ian Wright who believes Lampard will benefit from working with an experienced manager like former Chelsea boss Glenn Hoddle.

Wright said: “All I’d be doing at Chelsea if I went as Frank as the interim, firstly I’d get a majorly experienced person up top above me, someone like Glenn Hoddle. I’d get someone like Glenn Hoddle just to have that soundboard of somebody to say ‘what do I do here?

“Because it’s blatantly obvious for me to see that the gaps between the midfield, defence and the forwards are too wide.”
