Hakim Ziyech high performance in Chelsea 4-3-3 sends Al-Hilal wrong message ahead of FIFA club world cup

Chelsea lined up in a 4-3-3 from the start against Plymouth this weekend, and while the team played pretty badly after a promising start, it did continue to benefit Hakim Ziyech.

After some of his worst games in a Chelsea shirt not long ago, the switch to this shape with the Morocco star playing wide on the right has opened up the whole game for him, and after a coupe of match wining performances before the winter break, he was back to his best again on Saturday.

WhoScored gave him a 9.1 rating despite the fact that he didn’t score or assist, an impressive achievement for any player.

He was picking nice passes and spraying the ball around all game, it was just a shame that the rest of his team weren’t on the same wavelength. From wherever he was watching, Thomas Tuchel will have been satisfied that at least his winger looks sharp.
