Jubilations from Stamford Bridge as Chelsea reach agreement with Brighton to complete Moises Caicedo transfer deal

Official Done Deals: Moises Caicedo, Madueke to Chelsea, Arsenal, Bayern and other transfer news

Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news and gossip from The Sport Info that we think you guys may have missed today

Former Chelsea star Baba Rahman says he chose PAOK above other clubs because of the warm greeting and affection he received.

Rahman joined CHELSEA in 2015 from Augsburg for a fee of around £14million, and was a player that the Blues believed could have a bright future at Stamford Bridge.

He made 23 appearances across all competitions in his debut season, and did look impressive at times, but that would be the last time he ever played for the Blues, with a series of loan spells across Europe to follow.

The former Reading left-back returned to PAOK after an eight-year stint with English giants Chelsea, signing a three-year contract that will keep him at the club until the summer of 2026.

And now he has revealed just why he decided to make the move to PAOK this summer window.

“First of all, I am feeling good to be back. It’s nice seeing some old faces, some players I have played with. It’s been nice being here,” he told the club.

“I think PAOK has always been in contact with me the last few years. I think it is the right move for me. You have to go where you feel desired and wanted.

‘Although I had different offers, I felt PAOK was like a family to me. I spoke with the coach and he expressed his desire to have me here. I feel appreciated,”

Baba Rahman should have departed Chelsea many seasons ago – to be at the club for eight years and play just 23 times is crazy – his career has just seemingly passed him by.

This is a good move for the man to make as he should now be settled in one place rather than getting sent all over the place – PAOK will give him the football that he desires.

Some CHELSEA fans will be shocked that he was still at the club – but he will not be any loss to the squad as he has never been part of the set-up at Stamford Bridge.

Caicedo claim –

Moises Caicedo has opened up about his prospective move to Chelsea this summer transfer window.

The midfielder had an incredible season for Brighton last season and helped the club qualify for European football – something that many people did not predict at the start of the campaign.

But his performances for the club meant that CHELSEA showed an interest in getting a transfer deal done – as they saw him as the ideal player to replace the departed Ngolo Kante.

There has been many reports about his impending move to Stamford Bridge – but it is believed that personal terms have aredy been agreed and the only thing left is for the fee to be agreed and medical to take place.

But ahead of his possible move – Caiceco has now opened up and has his say on the switch.

“It’s a big team, that’s true. A very historic team and I can’t say no, because it’s a very big, historic, beautiful team,” he said to the La Cancha con Majo YouTube channel.

“The city as well is beautiful. It’s got everything beautiful.”

Going off his performances for Brighton last season – Caicedo is certainly a player that has a big future in the game and a man that could be perfect for the Blues.

He is the type of player that Mauricio Pochettino will love and although the asking price of £100 million is mad – he could be a fantastic addition to that Cheslea squad for the next 10 years.

This is a big move for the lad – lets hope he can handle the pressure.

Poch wants Vlahovic

Paul Brown has suggested that Dusan Vlahovic could be the big-name centre-forward that Mauricio Pochettino is looking to sign for Chelsea this summer.

CHELSEA have been doing alot of transfer business already this summer – with some high-profile players leaving the club and a few big names making the move to Stamford Bridge.

But their transfer business is not done and it widely expected that a new centre-forward will make the move to London – especially as the club really struggled to score goals on a weekly basis last season.

And Vlahovic – who only moved to Juventus last summer – is a player that has been heavily tipped to leave the Italians this summer after they missed out on Champions League football.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, he said: “I think he could be a really interesting signing for Chelsea but it would cost a lot of money and this would be the one who will be playing for them every week.

“This would be the big-name centre forward that Pochettino I think is after. I don’t really think he’s like a Diego Costa either. He doesn’t really have that kind of aggression.

“Diego Costa was just a mean, nasty ball of aggression, which really worked for Chelsea at the time. Vlahovic is kind of more silky than that, I would almost say. A very good finisher and someone who has a range of shooting too.

“So, it will be interesting to see if they do this deal and I think he could be a success at Chelsea.”

Vlahovic is a brilliant forward that has all the ability to be a big star at CHELSEA and if they do manage to secure a deal – he would be a real statement signing from that Blues board.
