KSA 2-2 NGA: Nigerians drag Uzoho after conceding cheap goals

The Super Eagles of Nigeria were held to a 2-2 draw by Saudi Arabia this evening in a friendly fixture. The first half ended with no goals despite the Super Eagles having several chances to take the lead, and in the second half we got to see Saudi Arabia open the scoring thanks to a wonderful free kick goal from Al Faraj. After Nigeria were 2-1 up in the second half, Saudi Arabia eventually got the equaliser in the 90+10 minute to tie the game.

Well, below are two wise decisions Jose Peseiro made in the game despite Super Eagles draw ;

Taking Off Samuel Chukwueze.

With the substitution of Samuel Chukwueze in the 65th minute, we got to see the Super Eagles attack improve immensely as they were able to get two goals with Kelechi Iheanacho coming on to score a very good goal. Chukwueze severely hindered the Super Eagles attack when he was on the field of play and immediately he came off, the attack became more efficient.

Sticking To His Formation.

Jose Peseiro didn’t change the formation in the second half and this helped the Super Eagles maintain the momentum they had in the first half. Nigeria were able to dominate freely and pressure Saudi Arabia’s defense which eventually led to them getting the much needed goals to draw the match.
