Let him come home': Chelsea fans make #FreeCaicedo go viral on Twitter

Chelsea are locked in talks over Moises Caicedo, with Brighton reportedly refusing to budge on their 100m asking price.

As the Blues do not want to overpay for the midfielder, Chelsea fans have started a Twitter (or, how Elon Musk wants you to call the social network site, X) campaign, using the hashtag #FreeCaicedo.

It’s a message to Brighton and a show of support to the Ecuadorian. Today the hashtag is trending on the football section of Twitter. Here are a few posts with the hashtag.

Holyfield: “Brighton stop your stupid ego and respect this guy’s decision”

Vdyk: “Dear Moises Caicedo, hand in the transfer request, they’re stopping you from reaching your true potential. Your promise hasn’t been fulfilled, they’ve betrayed you & your trust.

“You can dominate football alongside Enzo & actually win things — do the right thing.”

Lutaaya Shakyb: “Brighton lower your ego and let us believe”

Daniel Ogah: “Brighton is holding him against his wish”

Paul Obi: “Let him come home to Chelsea.”

King Coded Lee: “I speak for all Chelsea fans when I say : Chelsea will #FreeCaicedo and never do business with Brighton again.”
