Manchester City vs Tottenham Live stream – Spurs travel to league leaders Man City looking to regain some momentum after three consecutive defeats
Tottenham Hotspur will have to be at their very best to avoid a fourth straight league defeat on Saturday when they travel to league leaders Manchester City.
Defeats to Chelsea, Southampton and most recently Wolverhampton Wanderers have severely hurt the Lilywhites’ chances of qualifying for the Champions League, with Antonio Conte’s side now eighth in the table, five points off fourth placed West Ham United, albeit with a few games in hand.
And that gap is not expected to be reduced, with Spurs now coming up against a City side that have lost just twice, and not since October, in the Premier League this season.
However, it was Spurs who inflicted one of those defeats, with Son Heung-min scoring the only goal of the game on the opening weekend of the season, in what was former manager Nuno Espirito Santo’s first match in charge of the north London side.
A lot has changed at both clubs since then though, with Pep Guardiola’s team nine points clear at the top of the table, although second-placed Liverpool do have a game in hand.
The odds will be very much stacked in City’s favour, especially given the fact that Spurs haven’t won at the Etihad Stadium since February 2016 when Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen scored in a 2-1 victory.
