N’Golo Kante return to action in Chelsea’s 2-0 lost to Aston Villa

Chelsea face Aston Villa in their first Premier League game after the international break. The Blues are trailing 0-2 and Graham Potter has made some surprising changes.

N’Golo Kante replaced Ruben Loftus-Cheek in the 57th minute. The 32-year-old had been out of action since August due to injury but has now recovered.

The English manager wants Kante to play a few minutes before facing Real Madrid in the Champions League quarter-finals.

In fact, the France international had his first chance to score within minutes of coming on but eventually missed the target.
