Official: Chelsea superstar wins man of the match award

Chelsea’s legendary defender, Thiago Silva was announced the Man Of The Match in the blues’ nil nil draw at Anfield.

With both teams standing on unfamiliar territory on the English Premier League table, this match was very important for both of them.

Chelsea started the better of of the two teams and almost took the lead when Kai Havertz scored very early in the match only for the video assistant referee to ruled the goal for offside.

Liverpool slowly found their rhythm and had some really good chances but couldn’t find a way past Thiago Silva.

The decision to award the Brazilian the MOTM was very easy because he was a rock at the back.

“He’s got a football brain that is above everybody pretty much. He understands the game and has played for so long at the highest level, his references are so strong.”

One other Chelsea player that could’ve easily won the award ahead of Thiago is his defensive partner, Benoit Badiashile.

Very calm at the back, Badiashile was very impressive alongside Thiago. This was his second clean sheet in his second match.

New signing Mykhailo Mudryk came on and was very impressive as well. The Ukrainian showed glimpses of why Chelsea signed him up this January.
