“I can confirm that Chelsea and Brighton are speaking about Moises Caicedo,” Fabrizio Romano revealed in his latest YouTube video.
“This is not an old-style negotiation, like I send a bid, submit it, waiting for an answer, this is a bit different. So Chelsea are having direct contact with Brighton, trying to find a common ground to make it happen.
“The player is very clear in his communication with Brighton. Brighton have agreed to let him go but they also want the right proposal. So the conversation is ongoing and the next week is going to be important.
“Chelsea will go strong on this one, they don’t want long negotiations but Brighton are really tough in negotiations.
“On personal terms, there are no issues, the player has already said yes to Chelsea and Chelsea are feeling complete control.”
Caicedo is considered one of the best holding midfielders in the Premier League and he has all it takes to become a N’Golo Kante replacement at the Bridge.
