Caicedo agrees terms with Arsenal but Chelsea still in race
Moises Caicedo has reached a personal agreement to join Arsenal this summer, Tera Deportes reports. Chelsea are willing to give him a bigger salary than Arsenal are, but the Ecuador star wants to play in the Champions League. Liverpool are also interested in him, but he is not one of their top priorities.
Fred hints at Man U exit
Manchester United midfielder Fred has hinted that he could leave the club this summer. The Brazilian says he wants to be important, suggesting he is not happy with his substitute role at Old Trafford and wants to find first-team football.
Wigan directors quit over ownership
Wigan Athletic directors Tom Markham and Oliver Gottmann have resigned their positions on the League One club’s board. In a statement, Markham says the failure of owner Abdulraham Al Jasmi to provide the club with funds, as per the EFL’s requirements, was the main reason for the pair’s decision to quit
Wigan have failed to pay their players on time on a number of occasions in the last year and will start the new season with an eight-point deduction. Sky Sports News understands the club could be sold in the next 48 hours, to an unnamed British company.
Eintracht Frankfurt want ex-Nagelsmann assistant as coach
Eintracht Frankfurt plan on hiring Dino Topmoller as head coach, Foot Mercato reports. The Bundesliga side will lose Oliver Glasner this summer and have decided that Julian Nagelsmann’s former assistant at Bayern Munich is the man they want in charge.
