When you see Brighton CEO Paul Barber speak, you can understand why he’s so good at his job.
His explanation of the chaos around the Moises Caicedo transfer really gave great insight into what happened behind the scenes, and how he had managed to get a British record fee for a player with just one full season of Premier League experience.
For him it was a precarious battle juggling the interest from Liverpool and Chelsea without offending either parts, but in the end he walked the line and got a huge fee.
And of course, Chelsea got Caicedo.
