What Julian Nagelsmann told Chelsea after Frank Lampard deal completed

According to reports from Germany, Julian Nagelsmann has had constructive discussions with Chelsea and remains eager to assume the manager’s role at the club in the summer.
Following Graham Potter’s departure, Chelsea engaged in talks with both Nagelsmann and Luis Enrique in their quest to appoint a new coach right away.
However, in a surprise move, Frank Lampard has been brought back to Stamford Bridge as the interim manager until the end of the season.
While this offers the club more time to search for a permanent replacement, it also puts them at risk of missing out on prospective candidates like Nagelsmann, who has been linked with other high-profile teams, including Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid, and Tottenham, since being sacked by Bayern Munich during the recent international break.
However, Sky Germany reports that Chelsea’s initial discussions with Nagelsmann have been ‘positive’ and the 35-year-old sees a move to the Premier League as his ‘next goal’.
Frank Lampard has returned to Chelsea as the new caretaker manager, taking charge of the team’s training session at their Cobham base on Thursday.
His first task this time around will be to prepare the squad for their Premier League encounter against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday, before leading them into the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie against Real Madrid next Wednesday.
Lampard has been out of work since leaving Everton in January. During his time with the Toffees, the team failed to secure a victory in any of their last ten matches across all competitions and were languishing in the 19th spot on the Premier League table when he departed.
As for Chelsea, they are currently sitting in 11th position in the league table, trailing fourth-placed Manchester United by a margin of 14 points, with the latter having played one game less.
